Kari and Chris were a wonderful couple to work with, so cute! They were both really involved in the invitation process and seemed to really enjoy it. The decided on this simple, panel style invitation. The inserts were attached on the back with a ribbon and monogram tag.

The entire theme was carried throughout the wedding and reception with fan style programs, menus, a seating chart and table cards. Chris is a professor and wanted to name each table with an author and quote.

Love the blue and orange together, great for fall! Congrats to them!

Just a few weeks ago, my friend Lori, owner of Wildflowers by Design along with her friend and fabulous photographer, Brooke Courtney put together 2 absolutely AMAZING, TO-DIE-FOR, GORGEOUS (ok, can you tell I'm excited?) styled photo sessions. I had the opportunity to provide the paper goodies!!

The first session was vintage inspired, which is so popular right now. I cannot stop looking at these images...simply beautiful.

This summer my friends Sharon and Dottie launched "E" Events & Weddings. After owning a retail flower shop for 14 years, they decided to close the doors and open a private floral studio. They are now able to focus all of their time and talent on their true passion - wedding and event floral design!

I have had the opportunity to work with Dottie and Sharon on a handful of weddings (so far) and can honestly say that their work is beautiful, contemporary and truly unique. They take great care and detail with each bride they work with, ensuring that the flowers help to create the wedding of their dreams.

A Hurricane and a Shower

Let me preface this by saying, I am NOT a great party planner, it totally stresses me out and overwhelms me. This is why I specialize in paper not event planning. But when my good friend Shannon asked me to be her maid of honor for her October wedding, I happily accepted and was excited to put together a shower for her.

This past Saturday, myself and her mom, Barb, held the shower at church Shannon will be married at. We had one unexpected guest - Ms. Hurricane Irene. Although the storm kept a few people from making it to the party, it didn't hinder the plans too much thankfully!

We were on a fairly tight budget, but I really wanted to make it nice. The theme had a fun, vintage, country vibe. I chose soft blues and greens and touches of navy to coordinate with her wedding (peacock theme). Babies Breath and candles in mason jars really added a sweet touch. The cupcakes were made by my friend Kerri (I'm still enjoying the leftovers).

Everything came together perfectly! I can't wait to share her peacock themed wedding invitations...coming soon!

{ Lindsay & Rafe } Vineyard Inspired

My first vineyard inspired invitations! Lindsay and Rafe wanted invitations that incorporated their vineyard theme but didn't want them to come off too formal. The fun, flirty script fonts give it a more relaxed feel. Pretty merlot paper is combined with a brighter purple paper called "Punch", for a monochromatic look. Love these!

{ Sam & Brandon } Sweet Country Vibe

Once again I've had the honor of designing invites for a family member! My cousin Sam is getting married TOMORROW!! Sam and Brandon's festivities will be at Lauxmont Farms with an outdoor ceremony and reception. She wanted a laid back, country-ish feel for the invitations and wanted to incorporate sunflowers, which will playing a major role in the wedding.

For the ceremony, Sam loved the idea of double-duty fan programs- 1.to keep guests cool during an August afternoon and 2. they make an adorable keepsake.

The invitations were printed on bright white and layered on a pretty new paper color called Voilette. Then, menus and place cards were designed to coordinate. I love getting the chance to design something a little funky!

Jenn and Nate wanted a simple, modern invitation for their outdoor summer wedding. The invitation was inspired by the bridesmaids dresses floral detailing. A wonderful example of how to pull an overall look together without having a themed wedding. The invitation is printed on ivory and layered on silver. Cherry blossoms are so beautiful, perfect for a wedding too! Lauren and Sean love these graceful blooms and wanted to use them as their theme along with a special poem that started on the save the dates and carried throughout their stationery. I was super happy to work with my friends at Lighthearted Events for Michele and Scott's August wedding stationery! Michele and Scott chose the ever-popular signature style pocket invitation in a sparkling sapphire blue with champagne and ivory accents. The monogram "MS" was used throughout other wedding items: the welcome bag stickers, thank you notes and donation card. Gotta love the details!

Katie and Dan's invitations are super elegant. Katie chose the ever-popular merlot paper for the pocket and accented with neutral sand and ivory papers. A gorgeous oatmeal colored ribbon band holds the invitation closed. A small rhinestone embellishes the front tag as well as the inside invitation.

The overall design has a very formal look, but by interweaving a script font throughout evokes a touch of fun. I am currently working with Katie to create place cards and special donation cards. More to come!!

My first wedding of the season was Susan and Matthew. They were married on April 16th in Lancaster. Their wedding is a great example of exactly how the invitation really does "set the tone". Notice all of the details pulled from the invitation into the programs, menus, place cards right down to the cake!

Ashley and Troy's June wedding will be all decked out in lovely shades of pink. For the invitations small touches of black were added. The pearl folded invitation featured their monogram on the front and again on the inside. The ribbon band holds the inserts in place - a great alternative to a pocket invitation. Fresh, crisp and bold. Melissa and Daniel's invites really pop with a color scheme of black, white and apple green. The damask print is classic, but so modern all at once! The pocket invitation is in a pretty metallic pearl, the invitation is printed on a bright white stock and layered on a matte black. The monogram will be carried through to other pieces for the wedding day. I love this set! Congrats to Melissa and Daniel! They have fabulous taste!

It is an honor to design wedding invitations for people. It's extra special when I get to design them for friends and family. John is a good friend from high school, so I was really excited when he and his fiance, Kerry, approached me to work with them. He is one of many classmates I have had the chance to work with!

Kerry and John are having an outdoor wedding on June 4th. The color scheme is black and white with pops of turquoise and silver accents. I like this combo, it's refreshing and bold, perfect for a summer wedding. The invitation is a folded style in matte black, with touches of turquoise paper. A silver ribbon holds the rsvp and envelope into place.

{ Amy & Stephen } Vintage Couture

First, let me say that I could not wait to post these invitations, such an awesome project and super clients to work with!

I met with Amy and her mom, Sandra, last fall. Amy had a real vision for her vintage inspired wedding at the Stone Mill Inn. She brought me lots of pictures and ideas. She really wanted to incorporate actual lace fabric into the invitation.

After some researching, I found pretty off white lace and vintage looking pearl buttons. Amy decided to keep the colors tone-on-tone. The folded invitation is pearl metallic, the invitations, inserts and envelopes were printed on an off white linen paper. The various textures give this invitation such a luxe feel. Amy wanted some really vintage fonts including a"typewriter" looking font. I combined several different fonts and incorporated some lace inspired artwork throughout the set.

To complete the look, custom stamps were designed and I took care of the guest addressing on the envelopes. I am now working on some coordinating items for the wedding day!

{ Anne & Jason } Ornate Elegance

Anne and Jason live and work in NYC but are coming back to their roots in PA for their May wedding. They are working with Jonnaysa at Planned Perfection to make all of the long distance planning a breeze.

I first met with Anne and her mom, Charlene, last summer to discuss wedding her wedding stationery. We first worked together to design a very cute New York themed save the date to pay homage to their life in the big apple. (Take a peek at their save the date & awesome engagement photos here!)

As for the wedding invitations, Anne fell in love with the pocket style. She chose a pretty sparkling merlot stock and paired it with a soft sand metallic and smooth ivory. The artwork is ornate, but the overall feel is very clean and elegant.

The RSVP card has an interesting spin, guests are asked to send a creative reply instead of just writing in their names on a line. Anne and Jason will surely enjoy reading through the responses.

Since Anne is in NY, Charlene and I have been working on the coordinating items for the wedding day. Stay tuned as the finishing touches pull together on this beautiful wedding!

{ Catherine & Andrew } Vintage Victorian

I met Catherine last year at a bridal show, she had actually won a prize package I was giving away. She knew exactly what she wanted, so we only talked once on the phone and the rest of the time we worked strictly through email. The overall theme of the wedding has a vintage Victorian feel, lots of soft colors - grays, white, lavender and pinks.

She chose a flat panel style invitation. The bottom layer is a smoke gray, layered with a blush pink and the invitation is printed on bright white. I used some vintage floral artwork and wrapped a beautiful satin ribbon around the entire invitation.

Catherine sent me this sweet email when she received the invitations: "I just received the invitations!!! They are stunning and definitely set the tone for our wedding. I could cry, they are so lovely. Thank you so much for everything!!!"

I'm on cloud 9 when I get such wonderful feedback! Congrats to them!

So your invitations are complete, now, are you ready to stuff, stamp and seal each and every one? Maybe feeling too stressed or just short on time? Did you know that I offer guest addressing, stamping, stuff/seal and post office drop services?

Guest addressing is done digitally and matches the fonts and design of your invitation suite. All you have to do is return a Word document listing your guest names and addresses exactly as they are to be printed.

I offer stamping for the reply envelope and invitation envelope. TIP: it's a good idea to let me handle the stamping on these especially if you have a pocket invitation with a tied bow or ribbon wrap. It saves you time in going back through each invitation (having to remove or undo the ribbon) to stamp the envelope.

Also consider custom stamps, they are designed to match and add some extra protection through the mailing process. As the post office has informed me, the custom stamps do not need to go through the dreaded mailing machines for canceling, giving your delicate invitations a greater chance of arriving to guests undamaged.

Finally, if you desire "full-service", I will happily stuff, seal and hand-deliver your invitations to the post office.

I worked with Kyle and Nicole on these pretty, soft invitations for their outdoor April wedding on the lush grounds of Heritage Hills in York. I love the light green metallic pocket - one of my new favorite colors of the season! The green works beautifully with the deeper purple and ivory. { Kristin & Jason } Vintage Theatre

This June, Kristin and Jason will be tying the knot at a truly unique spot - The Majestic Theatre in lovely Gettsyburg, Pennsylvania. Kristin is playing up the vintage theatre theme with feathers and sparkle. She instantly fell in love with Elizabeth's theatre poster inspired invitations that I created last year. So we worked together to create something similar, yet still unique to them.

The ivory invitation is layered on silver and onyx metallic cardstock. Deep purple text was incorporated and a few rhinestones were added for that touch sparkle.

{ Susan & Matthew } The Invitation

I've been working with Susan since this past fall on these gorgeous, lavish invitations for her April 16th wedding. She was in love with the classic look of the "Samantha & Jonathan" invitation but wanted a invitation that was still unique to them. I designed some proofs and we went back and forth until the perfect design was created. She happily reported that her fiance, Matt was also enjoying the custom invitation process!

She chose a Champagne square pocket with a beautiful stain ribbon wrap in a color called Currant. Then as an accent, a deep metallic purple cardstock and neutral sand cardstock were layered under the front tag and inside invitation. Two rhinestones were added on the front and inside for some added sparkle. The invitation included double envelopes and custom stamps.

Guests just started receiving their invitations and Susan and Matt have been nice enough to pass on the rave reviews to me!

I'm now working with Susan to finalize the matching items for the wedding day. More to come!

{ Life Notes } Homeade Valentine

This year my husband and I decided to make each other cards. No computers were allowed, only scrap paper, glue and anything in my craft bin.

He was so excited, he gave it to me Sunday morning. I was surprised and touched by his creativity! For those of you who know him, he's a man of few words, but man is he's good with paper, haha! His card pretty much put mine to shame (notice I'm not posting mine). My favorite part is the little cut out on the back.

He describes his piece of art as "off-centered, backwards and extravagant". I describe it as the best Valentine's Day card ever.

{ Bethanie & Anthony } Save the Date

Okay, I have been M-I-A on the blog because I have been B-U-S-Y. I've been working on some beautiful projects for spring and summer weddings that I cannot wait to share over the next few months.

In the meantime, I'd like to share Bethanie and Anthony's sweet little save the date. They will be married in June at the Riverdale Manor in Lancaster. Bethanie had a real vision in mind when we met. She brought lots of inspiration - photos, dress pictures, florals, which was very helpful.

The feel of the wedding is soft and romantic with pops of color through big bloom florals like peonies and garden roses. The venue features a beautiful farmhouse and open air-pavilion, so it was important to tie in that casual, shabby chic elegance.

The save the date card is printed on ivory and layered on a soft coral metallic and sand metallic cardstock. I am currently working on finalizing the invitation designs with Bethanie and Anthony so stay tuned!

As much as I love designing and assembling orders my absolute favorite step is wrapping up the finished product for the big reveal. I'm always filled with pride when I see the entire order completed! I really want my clients to feel like they are receiving a beautiful gift.

Things have slowed down quite a bit in my studio. With the holiday season in full swing, most people aren't in wedding planning mode. I'm enjoying my down time and it's given me an opportunity to organize and prepare for 2011, which will bring plenty of newly engaged couples to my door (I hope, anyway!).

Being a designer, I am always evolving and improving. Which brings me to my brand new look! I decided to revamp my logo, website and stationery. You'd think that it would be fun, but I am so, so picky. I'm rarely completely happy with what I design for myself. It's sort of a designer's curse.

However, I'm pretty satisfied with my new logo. It's similar to my previous, I softened up the aqua color a bit and incorporated some gray. I also changed up some of the fonts and graphics. I wanted more of a 'shabby-chic' feel. I am in totally in love with the flower graphics!

To carry the theme through (a unified look is a must), I revised my website and designed a new business card, folded note card and flat card. Everything coordinates perfectly with my studio and with this new look I am ready for the new year!

Anne and Jason will be married in Pennsylvania this May and their invitations will be in gorgeous sparkling merlot and neutral tones. But before the invitations, they wanted to do something fun and personal for their save the dates.

Their story began in New York City and it's where they got engaged and currently work and reside. It was the perfect theme for the save the date cards!

{Martha & Ralph} Wedding Dress Inspired

When I met with Martha she said the words that all designers dream of hearing..."Do whatever you want, just make it look nice!" She didn't really know what she wanted other than the pocket style and she really liked the brown, gold and teal combination. She mentioned that her dress is a very, very pale blush color and I suggested bringing that color into the invitations. The color combination is warm and beautiful for fall and the touches of blush pink work perfectly!

Martha and Ralph will be tying the knot this Saturday in Baltimore. Ralph is another family member that I have had the honor to design for -- which means I will also be attending the wedding (yeah!) and will hopefully get some pictures to share!

Nothing speaks "wedding" more than beautiful tone-on-tone neutrals with a pop of color. Shannon wanted a classic, elegant look for their invitations using the scheme of ivory and wine. Instead of choosing wine as the main color, she went with shimmery champagne, sand and ivory paper and introduced wine with the ribbon, text and graphics. Two small rhinestones on the front add another sparkling detail. Although their wedding is in October, this invitation could easily be used for a wedding during any season!

Cristina & Henry { Engaging Save the Dates }

When I met with Cristina she had a specific vision for her wedding: vintage romance using a black, silver and ivory color scheme. She and Henry are getting married at the very vintage Valencia Ballroom in York in September 2011. She brought me a great inspiration board she found online.First up are the engagement party invitations. Cristina wanted to also incorporate a save the date message into her invitations. She loved the small magnets and I suggested creating an invitation that has the magnet attached.

She decided on a simple, flat panel invitation layered on silver. The save the date is attached with some removable tack and I included a small message to encourage guests to remove the magnet. The invitation set includes a matte black envelope with a label wrap (love these!).

I am looking forward to working with Cristina and Henry on their wedding invitations next year!

I love, love, love these invitations. When I met with Elizabeth she explained to me that they wanted a fun, font-filled invitation. She mentioned that she and Bryan originally wanted a theater or ticket themed invitation but weren't sold on it. The folded style invitation is in metallic black onyx with silver and deep purple accents, very deep and dramatic! This is kind of a random post, but I have been super busy this weekend with various 'round the house projects and I really wanted to share! Anyone who knows me will tell you decorating is my second love (invitations being my first, of course).

I am a pretty thrifty person and try to decorate on the cheap. I'm not sure exactly how to describe my style, "cottage chic" I guess? I get a lot of inspiration from Pottery Barn magazines and various blogs. I'm always looking for cool, crafty projects and new ways to love what I already have (side note: I have a serious addiction to spray painting things, as you will see). So here is what I got into this weekend:

Mr. Squirrel gets a makeover...
This little guy has been sitting in our yard for 5 years. I didn't particularly like him, but I never had the heart to throw him out. So, I grabbed a can of white gloss spray paint and fixed him up. Now he has a special place on our mantel just in time for Autumn. The mossy rocks are from the Dollar Tree.

Chalk it up...
Chalkboard spray paint - oh yeah. LOVE it. You can pretty much spray any surface to turn it into a chalkboard. I made 3 from some cheap frames I had laying around, one for the kitchen and two for the studio! Every room needs one, don't you think?

My Dollar Tree Hurricanes... total cost: $2.50 each!
I wish I thought of this myself, but I saw it on another blog. I hot glued the candle stick holders to the base of the vases. Just as pretty as the $39 Hurricanes from Pottery Barn. I finished them off with some navy beans, great fillers!

Mossy Monogram...
I had this wooden M laying around - I think I got it at Wal-mart. I found some reindeer moss at...guess--The Dollar Tree! I hot glued the moss and hung it over the mirror with some black ribbon. It kind of looks like a grassy blob, but oh well. I like it.

Stenciled Street Number...
My favorite project of the weekend, painting our house number on the front door. I've been wanting to do this for a while. I just love how it turned out!

Cute eggs...
I found this in the clearance basket at The Christmas Tree Shop. I paid $1.50. I love sweet accessories, it's the little things that bring so much character to a home. It also doesn't hurt to have a big orange tabby named Tito, he's just filllllled with character :)

Wedding Wall...
I've been in the process of collecting family wedding day photos for this shelf in the dining room, sort of a family tree. The grandparent photos are the hardest to find. This project is taking awhile.

I'm looking forward to more projects in the coming weeks. Maybe I'll post about them again. Thanks for letting me share!

Tara & Danny { Simple Monogram }

Tara and Danny wanted a monogram to carry through their invitations. After playing around with several fonts, starting out with swirly, scripty fonts they narrowed it down to a more simple, uncomplicated monogram. They chose a square pocket invitation in cranberry with silver and ivory compliments. I just finished up their coordinating placecards. Tara will be writing in the guest names and table assignments instead of having them printed. Their wedding is next Saturday, so I'm off to the post office to get these placecards to her!

Erin and Mike were inspired by Kristin's bird themed invitations and stationery. They had a fresh color scheme of green and blue. They chose the ever-popular signature style pocket with a ivory ribbon wrap. I had the pleasure of also creating small, simple table numbers, place cards, menu. I also made their rehearsal dinner invitations which were still a bird theme, but slightly different and featured more modern birdies.

The summer has been absolutely flying by -- much to my dismay (I prefer 90 degrees all year round). I have been spending most of my summer up to my eyeballs in ribbon and rhinestones, I actually looked like I "bedazzled" my face with a recent extra sparkly order. I was recently attempting to organize my samples and realized just how many recent designs I have yet to feature on my blog. I am going to try to post something new every Friday.

I have been meaning to share these coordinating accessories from Steph and Jason's wedding on 07.24. Since Steph is my husband's cousin we were invited to their wedding and it's always exciting to actually attend a wedding featuring some of my work! Side note: I mentioned I like the heat - well, Steph and Jason's wedding day was 100+ degrees and it was a little on the warm side, even for me.
I designed programs, table cards and place cards and thank yous to coordinate with their invitations. They got creative with their table numbers. Instead of traditional numbers or naming their tables, they chose to use numbers that had meaning: the day they met, their birthdays, etc. Everyone got a kick out of reading the meaning of each table number. The place cards were color coded to indicate meal selection so the little pops of color were around each place setting. I have to also mention that the food was awesome, catered by The Altland House.

While attending a bridal show this past spring I ran into Sarah, a high school classmate. At the time she has just gotten engaged and was a little overwhelmed. I was thrilled when she contacted me to set up a meeting a few months later. She had some wonderful ideas in mind and brought me lots of swatches and pictures. Sarah and Maurizio are going to be married at their church in Lancaster and decided on a reception at the beautiful Inn at Leola Village.
Instead of trying to inject their own color scheme, Sarah wanted to play off of the reception site, pulling the colors and textures from the room. Lots of ivory and beige tone-on-tone and hints of a citron green. It was also important to incorporate Maurizio's italian heritage into their wedding.

They decided on this fold over style invitation. Inside the ribbon band holds the reception card, rsvp card and envelope into place. The swirling vine-like art combined with the rustic script font truly sets the tone for this wedding. I had a lot of fun designing these, something so different and really personal. Sarah has already sent me some wonderful comments from her guests!

Kristan and Cody are getting married on October 1st (10.01.10 : very cool date). They wanted an invitation that incorporated their colors of navy and copper. Kristan loved damask graphics and rhinestones and preferred the panel style. Since I do A LOT of pocket invitations I am always excited to work with another style. Panel invitations are more traditional but can be just as beautiful and elaborate as a pocket or folded style. This invitation is printed on ivory and double layered on metallic navy and copper. A monogram was incorporated onto the flap of the envelope. I love this unexpected fall color combination. I am looking forward to working with Kristan and Cody on some special donation cards for their reception. Congratulations!!

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the one and only Lori Hemphill of 'The Perfect Plan' for these fabulous invitations. She is the coordinator for Shannon and Tony who reside in Texas but are planning a wedding in Pennsylvania. Lori asked me to put together some ideas for them based on a few ideas they had seen. This pocket is a specialty style that I have never used before. Working via email we nailed down a design that they loved. The invitations were just recently mailed out. Congratulations to Kristin and Matt. They were married yesterday at the lovely Lauxmont Farms Sunken Gardens. They had a bird and leaf motif that was carried from the save the dates and invitations into all of the coordinating stationery which included fan style programs, stickers, a seating chart and menu. This was an extra special project for me. My best friend (since 6th grade), Lauren is getting married this summer to her high school sweetheart Bill. I was totally bummed to find out that I am unable to attend the wedding since my brother is also getting married the same day! Lauren and Bill are laid back and just like to have a good time, so they are planning a casual, garden style wedding with a beautiful color scheme of bright orange and fresh shades of green. Lauren chose a simple flat, panel style invitation layered on "Clementine" and "Apricot" metallic paper. The invites set the tone for a wedding that is sure to be fun...and probably quite hilarious :)

Krista and Adam are going green...apple, that is. Their September 12th wedding has a beautiful scheme of apple green and sparkling brown with touches of burnt orange. Choosing the theme of green apples has opened the door to endless creative ideas.

Krista decided on this fold over invitation style (which has become my #1 most popular style).The invitation is shimmery, metallic green. An ivory monogram tag features their names along with apple tree branches. I used two green rhinestones to represent the apples. Inside, the ivory invitation is layered on metallic brown and the inserts are held into place by the dark chocolate ribbon band. The leaves and apples are carried throughout the invitation and inserts and on the outside flap of the envelope. I also designed coordinating thank you notes.It's always such a joy to create such fun, personalized wedding stationery for a couple. I love what I do!

I am a real stickler for thank you notes. I think it is incredibly important to thank your guests and show appreciation for attending your wedding or party (especially if they have given you a gift)! Don't think of it as a chore, see it as just another way to be creative. Carry through the theme of event into the thank you notes or do something totally different! On our honeymoon, my husband and I wrote thank you in the sand and used the photo on the front of our note cards. It was a hit!

These thank you notes from the newly married Angela and Paul are simple, but personalized and fun and use the monogram theme from their wedding.

Technically, you have up to a year to send them out, but I think 1-3 months is much more reasonable. So get to work on writing! Your hand will probably ache, but trust me, your guests will be happy to hear from you!

When I sat down with Tracey and Joe, the first invitation that caught her eye was a pre-designed invitation I had created using this pretty peacock art. They quickly decided that this was "the one"! The invitation is white layered on metallic sapphire and lilac. Two purple rhinestones were added on each feather for a finishing touch (did I ever mention how much I love rhinestones??- it's becoming an addiction!) { New Design } Winter Wedding

Usually when you think of a wedding you think of June, not January. Believe me, I am not a fan of the winter months, but I've been trying to think positively and use the season to be inspired. A winter wedding would be pretty unique. With the right color scheme and the perfect elements, a wedding in the heart of winter can be very magical! Think of the fresh snow, with it's hints of light, cool blue and beautiful sparkling icicles. I love the idea of a bride wrapped in a glamours white fur shaw ( faux, of course!!). How romantic would it be to have a reception with a huge, glowing fireplace and tons of candles scattered around? And what about hot chocolate mix and marshmallows wrapped up as favors? I took all these cozy thoughts and came up with this new design. I layered bright white cardstock on two shades of blue. Adding the simple white ribbon and rhinestone embellishment gives it a touch of sparkle. Perfect for the January bride!

{ New Digs } Movin' On Down...

After much debate, I decided to move my home office from our upstairs loft to our spare bedroom on the first floor. Although it's a small room, I think it provides a nice space to showcase my work and a comfortable atmosphere to meet with clients. Some day I'd really like to renovate our cute old garage into a studio, but this will have to do for now.

I ordered the beautiful white trestle desk from Target. I love it! It's so big! I was most excited to finally put the white dresser to good use. It was here when we purchased the house. The couple that built our home (1940-ish) lived here their whole lives. The man was quite a woodworker, he built the dresser and a number of other pieces. It's great for storing all my stuff. Just need to buy some new handles for it. I want to add one more bulletin board to display more samples. Overall the room is just so warm and bright. I love sitting in here in the afternoon. I think I made a good choice!!

Wedding Wonderland 2009

I am fresh off the heels of my very first bridal show -- The Wedding Wonderland held today in York, PA. I am totally exhausted, but I couldn't wait to post some pics of my booth.

The show was held today at the York Expo Center. I was blown away by the other vendors and their awesome booths, I made so many new connections! It was such a pleasure to speak to so many brides-to-be and their family and friends! Thanks to all who stopped by. Especially all of my family and friends who showed up to support me--oh and of course my sweet husband who helped me set up everything.

I am looking forward to this new year, new clients and lots and lots of new projects!

I've been creating new samples for the wedding show. I am particulary proud of these two! Enjoy...

{Olive You}
Okay, the name is a little corney, but that aside, this set is an eye catching combo! I layered white cardstock on a matte olive and metallic brown. The orange ribbon is tied into a modern flat style bow, giving the invitation a really elegant, clean finishing touch. This one is definitely one of my personal favorites!! Stunning.

{Luxe}
This invitation is a fold-over style in a deep gold metallic cardstock. I use cream cardstock and layered it on a bright matte blue and brown metallic cardstock. The rich colors of gold and brown really make the blue pop! The RSVP card and envelope is held into place by a chocolate ribbon. Additional inserts could also be added. I am working on a coordinating fan style program for this invite, I hope to post that soon!

{Photo Guest Books}
I am also going to start offering photo guest books. They are 20 page hardbound books. The covers come in quite a few colors. The moment I showed this book to a few of my clients, they wanted one! It makes a nice keep sake, it's also a great way to show off your engagement photos!

{ New Design } Holiday Wedding

I've always loved the idea of a Christmas wedding, my parents were married in December. I think it's just that certain magic and celebration that's in the air. It just seems romantic already. With all of the sparkle and lights that are around I was inspired to create an invitation with a holiday feel. I layered cream cardstock on champagne and bright red cardstock. I added a rhinestone for that extra tough of sparkle. Of course red isn't just for December, this would also be great for a February wedding too!

{ Real Wedding } Angela & Paul

Here is a special "sneak peek" of Angela and Paul's wedding invitations. I have been working with Angela since the middle of summer on her wedding invitations for her upcoming June '09 wedding. She and Paul want a simple, clean look for their wedding. She chose this fold over invitation in silver cardstock. The monogram tag is white layered on metallic fuchsia cardstock. The inside is printed on white cardstock and layered on fuchsia. The three inserts are held into place with the simple white ribbon wrap. I have been busy cutting, folding, gluing and I just had to share. I am so happy with how they turned out! So fresh! I will also be creating programs, and other wedding accessories that will coordinate perfectly with her look. Angela is full of creative ideas! Enjoy!

Season for Greetings

The Christmas season is in full swing! I always look forward to creating my own cards to send out. I just finished them up last night. I braved the 20 degrees to snap some quick photos to share. The cards are printed on cream cardstock and layered on Antique Gold and Bronze metallic cardstock. I finished them off with a sparkly rhinestone. Can't wait to send them out.

I also wanted to share some of my decorations. I did an all silver and white theme for our home this year. I was on a tight budget for decorations so I found almost everything at the Dollar Tree. Including those beautiful little birds (3 for a $1!!) I created hanging window wreaths and filled our window boxes with greens, silver balls and silver flowers. I collected branches from the woods and spray painted them white. I even brought some inside, I was thinking of hanging my Christmas cards from them. I love how everything turned out! It's so wintery looking!

Over the next few weeks, I will be busy gearing up for the Wedding Wonderland Bridal Show in York, PA in early January! It's my first bridal event! I am so excited to show off my work and hopefully make some great connections.

{ Real Wedding } Kerri & John

My good friend Kerri just recently got engaged to her boyfriend, John. Yeah!! She came to me right away to design invitations for her engagement party. They are planning to have their wedding next October, so she wanted to reflect a fall theme into her engagement invitations. Her color scheme is chocolate brown and orange. I designed this folded design in metallic chocolate brown. A brown ribbon holds a layered cream and orange tag on the front. Inside the information is printed on cream cardstock. I am so excited to coordinate the rest of her stationary. Next up, engagement announcements!

Oh, and not only do I have the honor of creating her stationary, I am also going to be a bridesmaid!
